People Really Do Eat Pigeons!


Squab as done in a five-star restaurant.  Hint, I removed the heads before cooking.  I couldn't eat this no matter what I'd promised Carmon!  I refused to cook anything that still had a face!

Pigeon Pot Pie.  Also good for dove, pheasant, duck, or any dark-meat game bird.  Inside was a stew of dark meat, gravy, potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery.  Peas are added just before the stew is placed into the pastry crust and baked.  Really quite yummy.  Even adult pigeons work in this recipe (should any of you feel so inclined!!)  Picture from www.honest-food.net.
